Developing Confidence, Character, and Leadership
Princeton Boychoir develops boys into confident young men of character, through inspired training in singing, music education, and leadership, who share their musical excellence within the community and beyond.
Launched in Fall 2017, Princeton Boychoir is comprised of boys in 3rd through 12th grade, placed by audition in one of our three ensembles. Placement is based on age and current level of musical ability. Participants advance as their voices mature along with musical growth.
- Apprentice Choir – a beginning level choir of unchanged voices (generally 3rd grade through 6th grade)
- Treble Choir – an advanced intermediate level choir of unchanged voices (generally 5th grade through 9th grade)
- Young Men’s Ensemble – an advanced choir of changed male voices (mostly high school aged boys)
The Treble Choir and Young Men’s Ensemble often combine to sing SATB literature as well.
Boys are reassessed annually to determine their musical development and choir advancement. See the Redbook for additional information regarding placement and advancement.
