Ms. Maddie Meier, a music educator, conductor and internationally-trained soprano from St. Louis, Missouri, received her Bahelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Bachelor of Arts in German with a Minor in French from Montclair State University. She graduated in 2020, summa cum laude. During her time at Montclair, she received a full-ride scholarship to study operatic voice performance for a year at the Kunstuniversität Graz in Austria. She has done solo voice work with different Baroque Chamber Ensembles in and outside of the United States, and has sung a variety of different operatic and musical theater roles, in addition to concert works. Ms. Meier has performed with professional ensembles such as The Princeton Singers, and as a soloist, has performed with The Princeton Symphony Orchestra. She recently performed as a singer in residence at Lehigh University’s Choral Composers Forum, with renowned composer in residence, Ēriks Ešenvalds. Ms. Meier has also sung with The Philadelphia Symphonic Chorus (under the conducting of Yannick Nézet–Séguin). As a conductor, Ms. Meier has been accepted as a Conducting Fellow at various conducting institutes across the country. Choirs under Ms. Meier’s direction have performed at state-wide festivals and have won regional choral competitions. She is a Choral Director at Grover Middle School of the West Windsor-Plainsboro School District in New Jersey. Ms. Meier is the Associate Director of the Eighth Notes Choir and the Co-Director of Grace Notes Choir with the Princeton Girlchoirs. She also managed the 2023 Princeton Boychoir tour to Carnegie Hall and the 2023 Princeton Girlchoir tour to Spain and Portugal. She currently resides in Princeton, New Jersey. In her spare time, Maddie is a voracious reader, who loves to hike, cook, and garden.
