Elizabeth Guerriero, Ph.D.

Elizabeth M. Guerriero, Ph.D. (Penn State University) comes to Westrick Music Academy having previously served as the Executive Director of Integrative Arts at Rowan University. In that role, Dr. Guerriero led the College of Performing Arts as the primary fundraiser, directed the Rowan Community Music School, and created non-degree certificate programs. In 2019, Dr. Guerriero was a Finalist for the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra’s Ovation Award for Inspiration and Outstanding Leadership in Music Education. Dr. Guerriero previously served as Director of Education for City University of New York’s Harmony Program, working with over 500 students in low-income communities across the city of New York, such artists as the Canadian Brass, Wynton Marsalis, Paquito D’Rivera and Joshua Bell, and leading music education partnerships with organizations such as the New York Philharmonic, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the West Point Band. Her education includes a Ph.D. in music education from Penn State University; a master’s degree in music from the University of Denver; a bachelor’s degree in music from Hartt School, University of Hartford; and a Certificate in Fundraising & Development from Villanova University.
